Our Story

In 2021, my dear friend gifted me a candle making workshop and we learned how to hand pour candles. As a home project I continued making them and started gifting candles to people in my world that have lost a loved one. Each candle gifted has been hand poured in my garage or kitchen with love. The light of candles has always brought me a sense of peace and my hope is that the light will bring a little comfort on the days when needed most.

In 2022, Tea Flower Skincare was founded and with the blessings received from Tea Flower, a way to give was created through ~The Joy to Give Foundation~ This love of giving has grown into something beautiful and has become more than just gifting candles; it has evolved to candles and comfort boxes. Often asked “How much is a box?” It was very hard to put a monetary value on the cost of a box or candle. Through personal experience and word of mouth, I have learned of friends, friends of friends, strangers in my community and beyond in need of comfort during a tender time. The Joy to Give Foundation is a place where people can reach out and request a candle or box which truly is an act of kindness, with no expectation of anything in return.
